General Information
1.The tipster competition should be regarded more as a way for tipsters to get in touch with each other and providing good picks so everyone can benefit from the different knowledge and experience that each has to offer, and not as a simple competition where everyone writes picks on sporting events they know nothing about.
2.Anyone who wishes to enter the Smart-Betting.com Tipster Competition is asked to go to our Contactpage and send us a message with their desired username and password and some betting previews samples.In about 24 hours they will receive a e-mail with the response on if they have been accepted or not in the Tipster Competition.
Rules
1.The tipster competition will be held on a monthly basis.At the end of each month the competition winners will be announced and next month's competition can begin.
2.The first 3 tipsters that will provide the picks that bring the most profit will be eligible for prizes and rewards in exchange for their hard work.Prizes will also be awarder to tipsters that had the most picks in the Smart-Betting Picks records in the Smart-Betting.com homepage.So, even if a tipster has a negative balance, he is still eligible for a prize if he had well written and motivated picks that were introduced in the Smart-Betting Picks database.
3.The prizes will be either money delivered in one of their e-wallet account or money delivered in the betting account of our sponsor (in case our sponsor is a bookmaker), or other kind of object prizes.The prizes will be announced here at the beginning of each month.
4.In order for a tipster to receive the Tipster Competition prize, he must have posted at a minimum of 10 sporting event previews, during the period in which the competition took place and also he has to have ended the month in profit (with a positive balance).
5.All sporting event previews must be written in a correct and understandable English language.
6.The picks that are recommended in the previews must be motivated by solid and well argued analysis (contained in the text of the preview).
7.In the quest of obtaining a profit each month, the tipsters will use a unit stake based management system with 10 out of 10 units (10/10) representing the maximum stake possible and 1 out of 10 units (1/10) representing the minimum stake possible.
8.The unit stake system should help reflect the tipster's general opinion about his pick.When choosing the stake for a pick, a tipster should consider relevant facts like : confidence of the pick , odds available, the real amount of money he/she is betting on that pick etc.
9.A tipster has the right to use the staking system as he/she thinks best.But any abuse of this right will lead to his/her elimination from the tipster competition.
(ex. A tipster may use a 10/10 stake on different picks even on those with very high odds but only if such a stake is justified and if the arguments presented in the preview indicate and call for such a stake.Using high stakes all the time or most of the time without solid arguments in the previews will lead to the elimination of the tipster).10.Every tipster should try to do his/her best and obtain a profit each month.However, we are aware of the fact that any tipster might have encounter a losing streak and cannot end a month in profit.One or two months which end with a negative balance for a tipster are accepted but 3 consecutive months, all with negative balances will lead to the elimination of the tipster.Some exceptions can be made depending on the total loss and the quality of the previews that the tipster has provided in the past.
11.A tipster is allowed to have only one pick per sporting event.If he/she has several picks that he/she feel should be published for a certain sporting event they should contact one of the site admins and explain the situation and the admin can grant two or more picks on the same sporting event.
12.All picks must be posted at least two hours before the start of the covered sporting event.
These rules may change at any time, but all the tipsters will be notified by email in case of any changes.
