The BCR Open Romania started today and as I liked the US Open project in which i made my results public, i decided to take a similar challenge with this tournament.

The starting bank will be the same 1000 GBP.
But for this tournament my objective will be to make a 300 GBP total net profit.
You may ask why only a 300 GBP profit when the objective for the US Open was to double my bank.Well, the answer is that this tournament is only one week long and the liquidity is not always that good for the betting exchange trader.

On the first day i traded only one match and managed to obtain a 59.90 GBP profit.

Day 2 was some interesting match in which Hanescu, Gasquet, Gulbis and Almagro all play.

Well, so far day 2 brought a loss of 300 GBP on Hanescu match.
I could have taken a easy profit if i would have traded the match but decided to keep it as a simple bet and after the first set didn't even watch the match, which turned out to be a mistake.
In day 3 another 300 GBP loss came which was again a mistake or i would say a laziness from my part to act at the right time.
I had some bets and trades on the soccer matches available, and they brought some profit:

So, the 314.87 GBP loss fro these to day minus the 59.90 GBP profit from the first day,that means a total net loss so far of 254.97 GBP.

At this points o would be happy if i manage to finish the week with any profit at all.

Day 4 and 5 brought a nice profit, much more than i had expected and turned my total net loss into a total net profit.

So, i'm now with a total net profit of 220.71 GBP.That means i'm just about 80 GBP away from completing my objective.
Today there are some soccer matches i look forward on trading and betting and also tomorrow we have got the BCR Romania Open Final in which Gilles Simon plays Carlos Moya, and that should be a match which brings some profit.
At the end of the day i'll post my results with the soccer trades, and see what i can expect for tomorrow.

BCR Open Romania was poor organized . Main tv broadcaster , TVR1 , TVR2 weren't broadcasting whole tournament . just few games , interrupted by commercials or by some wierd '80 movie . This tournament needed to be promoted but the way TVR did their job disgusted me .

About Gilles Simon - Moya game I barely escaped from this game with a small loss .
I placed my bets on Moya on good odds but somehow Moya wasn't playing as I expected so I was going down with my bet .I traded to loose about 60 % of my bet after Simon won first set because Moya wasn't looking good .

What I wanted to say was that trading on betfair isn't something very easy ( as I thought at the beginning ) and is very related to your initial bet : if your bet is good then you will win by trading , if not you will still lose .

Paszek - Schnyder was another game where I choosed wrong winner . I traded also to reduce loss but these games brought me serious damage to my betting bank .

I choosed these games because I thought I can trade , players will lose their serve , win on other player serve .. etc , but that didn't happened , so I end up losing slowly but sure as time passed .

I said some time ago that I won't bet NEVER again on tennis and I did that for a while ( about one month , not a single game played ) , but few days ago I started betting again . I hope I will do better this time , especially choosing right stake .

First of all Cro, I couldn't agree with you more about the tv broadcaster.I got better coverage from Eurosport at Us Open even though the matches were during night time.TVR could have and should have done a much better job.

Second of all i'm sorry to hear about your tennis trading gone wrong.But thinking of it i realized that about 8 months ago i was in your positions as far as tennis trading and betting goes.Only after every loss i just seemed getting better and better, i watched more tennis, gotten to know the players well and it seems now that i could make a profit at every tournament.I'm sure that if you stick with it you will make good profits in the future.

And in the end, the BCR Romania Open finished and as in the last day of the US Open, the biggest win came in the Final.
In these two weekend days, besides tennis i also traded soccer (but didn't go so well) and had a small trade on Formula One.

So, at the end of the week i gained a total net profit of 742.06 GBP which is much more than i would have expected to make.I was aiming for 300 GBP and i did take in consideration all the sporting events i had at my disposal.
Under these conditions, i can say that i'm looking forward to my next trading and betting objectives.(also at the request of some readers who have emailed me i might post my possible trades before the sporting events, and so people can also share their opinions about the matches that are to be traded on. )
