Day 8 brought me the profit i would have expected to make during the weekend.
Only trade 3 tennis matches, but they were all profitable.
Here they are:

A nice 224.09 GBP profit for day 8 which brings my total net profit to the sum of 635.91 GBP.

Day 9 was the day in which i reached the 1000 GBP total net profit and so achieving my objective to double my bankroll in the interval in which the US Open takes place.
Traded again 3 tennis matches from the mens tournament which were all profitable and traded the Jankovic match which did bring a small loss.I feel i could have done more, because i didn't touch the Davydenko match which was a good trading opportunity.I could have easily gotten about 200 GBP from that match.

Here are the results for day 9 :

So, a 385.44 GBP profit for day 9 which means that my total net profit is at 1,021.35 GBP.

I will continue trading and betting, and posting my results untill the us open is finished to see just how much i can make during these two weeks.I'll try to reach a 1200 GBP profit. We will see.

Could have made a profit but didn't concentrate at the matches that much.
Still my total profit stands at 1,021.13 GBP.
Today we have Federer playing Muller and Roddick facing Djokovic, maybe today will be better.

Well done Boss! I'm impressed. I'm still learning trading craft and honestly it isn't the strongest side of my betting.

Got few questions:
What is your trading strategy? It could be nice if you also put screen with what you backed and layed in specific match. Did you learned about tennis trading from some site (they are crappy in my opinion) or it is all your own deduction and observation?
How much you put in a single match to get around 200 pounds of profit? With 1000 pounds bankroll it not seems to be a small amount of bankroll to me.
What is your way to decrease loses in match (my biggest problem in trading at this time)

Any way congratulations because 1000 pounds from 1000 pounds in 8 days is an awesome result.

Best wishes, Boss!

I can't say that i have a trading strategy that i apply every time and that is how i make all the money.I just watch the match and go to win a few ticks.I buy and sell quickly for small profits.Only what is great in tennis trading is that during an entire match you get plenty of changes for small trades.
In some matches it is just a simple bet and maybe i'll sell it during the match just to be sure. For example the Roddick vs. Gonzalez match, i backed Roddick in an idea of a simple bet, when he started so well and was already 2-0 up i layed him for a 201.5 GBP profit on him and 0 on Gonzalez.
I just began trading and betting tennis about 5 months ago, and at first i didn't understand how the odds were going but now i'm in full control. If you understand the sport well enough and see the match you'll know what to bet.

As i said during the match there are plenty of opportunities to get a few ticks.
For example i use a trading platform with "one click betting" to make things much easier.
I back a player at 1.45 with 300 GBP and lay him at 1.42 for 300 GBP then i get 9 GBP on the traded player and 0 GBP on the other player, or i first lay and then back...it really depends. If you watch the odds during a tournament and observe how they move you'll know when it's the right time to act and with a bank of let's say 200 GBP you can end the week with 500 GBP.And that is only with small trades, just winning a few ticks at a time.

I looked back on my trades and i only made two mistakes during the US Open, (on tennis matches that is) one was in the second day when i lost 300 GBP on the Makarova v Chakvetadz match because i was bored and another mistake was on the Coin vs Ivanovic match. On that last match i did lay Ivanovic but was too lazy to wait and decided to take the loss.
The truth is that decreasing losses is kind of hard, i simply take the loss, for example in last night's match Jankovic vs Dementieva, i layed Jankovic in the believe that Dementieva could win at least one set after he had lost the first one, wasn't so, so i took the loss.

But when you trade tennis the win percentage is over 80%.

If you know the game and the players and the statistics right and you are trading tennis it is almost impossible to lose.

The BCR Romanian Open is the next tournament, and i'd advice you Sankekur to give tennis trading a try with a 200 GBP bank.I saw your picks and i believe you can turn 200 GBP into at least 400 GBP during the next week. :D

Federer won and the US Open 2008 ended.

I didn't post the results for the last two days, as i waited for the Nadal vs Murray match to finish, which turned out to be a loss in the end.

Above are the results for the last days.Only take out the Potito Starace match which belongs for the BCR Open Romania and i'll include that result in another project.

Take these last results and during the US Open i managed to make a total net profit of 1,405.98.
What i liked the most is the fact that my largest win came right at the very end in the final, which is a good feeling. :D
At the start of this project i intended to only double my initial bankroll but i managed to do much better.
I consider this edition of the US Open a good one.Hope that next year i'll manage to make an even higher profit.

Thanks for the replies! Well, sadly I'm not a kind of quick learner and in spite that I'm interested in trading for about half of year I didn't achieve big success in this king of betting. But I've decided I will find 500 pounds and open a topic here and will try to double my bank too. Because 1.400 pounds from 1000 pound bankroll is an amazing result!
Can you tell me something more about US Open final? How you have betted here? Big win but it was quite one-way match and form me seems to be hard to trade. Or I am wrong?

Can't wait to watch your new projects from tennis trading Mariusrec! :)
Best wishes!

For the US Open final i just went with Federer.I just couldn't see Murray in the position to take the match from an amazing Federer.
So, i just placed 1000 GBP on a straight Federer win and watched the match. :D
I could have traded it and probably gotten only about 200 GBP, but again, i favored Federer and i decided to make it a simple bet.

And by the way, just know that trading is simple once you get the hang of it.Try trading a few matches, and never forget your mistakes. The mistakes and losses are the things that made me a better trader.
