Hibs to win.

Hibs are on fine form at the moment playing some super football. The results dont quite suggest that right enough but anyone who seen their performances against both old firm clubs in the last month or so will tell you the signs are very good for this young Hibs side and they look sure to challenge for 3rd spot.

Last week at Celtic park they tied the game with 2 super goals from Nish and Fletcher and looked as though they could possibly go on and win it in the final 20 mins. You have to credit Celtic for their fighting spirit ofcourse but i believe Mcdonald should have been sent off for a terrible tackle on outstanding full back Van Zanten at 2-2. Had he been i think Hibs would probably have won, they had a good shout for a pen turned down as well just before Celtic scored the all important 3rd.

Hibs have a super strike force in Nish, Fletcher and Riorden. For me its stronger than Rangers front players and possibly as good as Celtics. Credit to the Hibs manager who is sending them out to entertain, they have been great to watch recently.

Its clearly going well for St Mirren as they have won 3 games already this season, 1 of them was ofcourse against Rangers and manager McPherson has just been named manager of the month. Their goal is to stay in the spl though and i dont think the Paisley side have the squad to do any better than a 10th or 11th place finish although Buddies may disagree.

Hibs are playing with a lot of confidence at the moment and passing it superbly from defence into attack. Rankin finds the perfect pass so many times to the strikers and while Shiels can be hit and miss he often adds well timed supporting run for the strikers. That front 3 can all finish and Nish in particular is very good at winning vital flick ons.

Hamilton apart i think Saints have the weakest back 4 in the spl and although it is never an easy place visit i think they will really struggle to keep Fletcher and Riorden out. St Mirren often give away cheap fouls just outside the box and in Riorden Hibs have one the best free kick takers in the spl.
