Blackburn vs. Boro

Boro to win.

Boro took a real hammering at home to Chelsea last week but i actually think Southgate can turn that into a positive. He is a boro fan ofcourse and it was obvious he was hurting bad after the match so im sure it will be a tough week at training with the players working harder than ever. Lets be fair here, chelsea can do that to any side at the moment.

There is some good team news, skipper Emanuel Pogatetz will return as will Afonso Alves and Didier Digard. It is high time we seen the best from Alves theres no doubting his class but hes not quite shown it in engand. Theres no doubt he will and against a side of similar standard it could be today.

Blackburn will miss Santa Cruz today. I have to say i dont believe Blackburn are anything like the same side without this guy. He has been a super signing and to be honest the reserves are nowhere near his class and they will miss him.

Rovers only have 1 win at home and that was over Fulham 1-0, they didnt deserve it either. The London side missed countless chances and didnt just deserve a draw they deserved the 3 points.

I think Blackburn have a real problem playing at home as there is a poor atmosphere and the crowd do not get behind their side as they do at other premiership grounds. Theres really not a great deal between theses sides, Boro probably have the advantage today with the team news, so 3/1 is a very nice price indeed.
