Toulouse vs. Bath

Its really does not get any tougher for Bath, trips to France for a european match are always difficult fixtures but this is the one side you dont want in your pool as they have a quite amazing home record both in this competition and in their own domestic league. Last year they made the final and were a little unlucky not to beat Munster and altogether Toulouse have 3 HCs to their famous name.

Bath have been in super form in the last couple of weeks in the premiership. No one expected them to beat Wasps, after Wasps had won at Leciester but they done a job. No infact they played some fantastic open rugby and deserved the win. When Bath hit form they can be one of the best sides to watch in our league, some of the movement at the back of the ruck and the handling up the middle are lovely to watch and ofcourse Abendonen and Maddock are flyers out wide. The Worcester result was even better in my view, ok so they were hardly up against the same level as they will face today. But every single try came from deep, in rugby, either code union or league, thats a sign of a class side.

I do think though that Grewcock is a huge loss for Bath and that it hands the French an advantage up front. Bath are not the best side at set plays either, line outs are dire really, and you cannot afford to give this Toulouse outfit cheap ball.

Im sure Bath can put points on the board and no doubt they will score 1 or 2 super trys but i dont see them winning this game and i wouldnt bet the French to cover such a big start. Best bet for me is plenty of action at either end and a very high scoring match.
