Worcester vs. Harlequins

Quins are playing some very nice rugby in the opening weeks of the new season and its a bit of a surprise to me they are not starting as favourites to win this game. Ok so they folded quite poorly in the second half of the derby match with Irish at the weekend, losing by 1 point. But they will be desperate to get over that disappointment as quickly as possible. A midweek match at 2nd bottom Worcester, live on tv, is exactly what Dean Richards men need.

Worcester, on what ive seen so far, look the poorest side in the Premiership. Ofcourse there was the win over champions Wasps but that game was terrible to watch and had more to do with how low on confidence Wasps were than a great performance by Worcester.

They dont score many trys, dont have quality forwards and worst of all have lost some really soft scores so far. Bath ripped em apart at the weekend and they aint been on the best form either. Goal line defence has been a problem and tonight Worcester will be up against a class attacking team.

Maybe Quins are not the best on set plays and theres no doubt the London side are struggling with their kicking at goal, but i believe against a side like Worcester they will still get enough chances to put points on the board. Danny Care and David Strettle are on fantastic form at the moment and right through the side, even the forwards, the handling is lovely to watch. This is a fixture Quins have a good record in and i expect that to continue.
