Motherwell vs. Nancy

Game is perfectly poised at 1-0 Nancy as Motherwell gave a very good account of themselves over in France. Maybe they ride their luck a little but i think they deserved to go into this game with a chance of going through.

We will see a fired up Well side take the field tonight and although scottish football may not be highly respected by many, this is a team who can pass the ball and do have the players to give a side like Nancy problems. There was a bit of needle, of how we love that, after the 1st game as the managers did not shake hands. Mark McGhee has made some quite disrespectful comments about Nancy and their manager in particular, theres plenty spice.

Nancy have been poor in the opening weeks in France, they lost 2 of their best players from last season and its had a big affect on the side. They are not a team who score many goals, well few from France are, but  they head to Fir Park with a lot of pressure on. A side from Lique 1 cannot be defeated by a scottish club that is not either of the old firm.

To be honest Motherwell are quite a naughty side. They have a lot of young players who are easily wound up and one or 2 older heads who love a battle. Il say now Bob Malcolm will be yellow carded its a cert, and so will Craigen. John Sutton is a fine target man and he will scrap for every ball, there could be some flashpoints.

Nancy will have to show some fight. You cannot go to places like Motherwell and play a typical French passing game. You must play with heart and show courage, it will be played a fast pace and if Nancy do not match the scottish spirit they could face a very embarrassing exit.

The crowd will be fired up, as will the players and i dont see any problems with over 30pts in this one.
