Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore

This is sure to be a real battle, and possibly quite naughty with plenty of needle as the 2 tops sides for defence in the opening weeks of the season go head to head. The spread on the points is only around 30, very very low, but even so i still say it will probably be under. This is not going to be game for good sports and friendly banter, there has been previous matches which have exploded so its going to nasty with some vicious defence and 2 sides who are fired up.

Steelers are 2-1, Their only home game was a very nice 38-17 on day 1 over Texans. Should we read a lot into that ? well not really as that was over one of the weakest sides in this years comp. Willie Parker was the main man running 138 yards and 3 touchdowns, he will be missing tonight and his replacement is a rookie, Mendehall who has dropped the ball a few times recently.

There is something fitting about Ravens rookie QB Joe Flacco returning to Pittsburgh, where he started out. He has made the perfect start, 2-0 so far. Ok so he gets some abuse from the crowd but he looks a strong guy, who is confident, and can deal with it. I dont rate Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger as highly. Ive only seen him once but he looked nervous last week against the Eagles and again they didnt manage a touchdown in a very disappointing performance.

The Ravens, while not being the best at scoring touchdowns either, do have the edge in their running game, so although i dont see them crossing the line often, id expect them to get in good position for those vital field goals.

Ravens  to win, but il take with a big start in what should be a low scoring game.
