Rangers vs. Hibs

Hibs to get over 4.5 corners.

Corners can be risky but if we look at the football Hibs are playing at the moment and the confidence in the side, they should give Rangers plenty to worry about tomorrow. The Ibrox side have hardly been on great form recently and were 4 mins away from needing pen kicks against little Partick in the cup.

This is one of the biggest games on the spl calender and the Hibs fans demand their side has a right go every time they face Rangers at home. I dont have the stats but i cannot remember Rangers, or Celtic for that matter, winning here easily any time in the last 15 years. Its always a tough match and often a game which Hibs start very well and at a high tempo. Hibs will play with no fear.

They have some decent form too. 2 wins, by only 1 goal, but still 2 good results against Utd and Hamilton. There was 17 corners altogether in the Hamilton game and in their last home game against Utd, Hibs played some great football. They have good movement and Riorden has lifted not only the players but the fans too.

They have plenty of quality form midfield forward. Stevenson, Rankin, Nish, Fletcher, Riordan, Shiels, that is almost as stong as Rangers or Celtic, in my opinion anyway.

Rangers could win this game, they probably will. Mendes and Davis are on superb form at the moment and although Kris Boyd does nothing for 90 mins, he will probably grab another super goal. But the one area where the ibrox side are not so strong is in defence and ive a feeling Weir is going to really struggle with Hibs movement. Brougherra is a fine signing for Rangers but he is not great in the air, he will be up against Colin Nish who is possibly the best target man in the spl. On either side of defence Rangers use 2 centre backs as full backs, Broadfoot and Papac. Yes both have done a very good job out of position, in europe last season etc. But if you run at them and take them on they can be suspect. Hibs have the quality to trouble both.
