Catalans vs. Wigan

Play off matches are often quite low scoring but i dont expect a tight affair here. Catalans have scored heavily at home all season and outside of the top 2 id say they have been the best side to watch in super league. Clint Greenshields is the best support player in the league and Adam Mogg has been quite superb on that right hand edge. The man is a genuis and for me should be the man of steel. McGuire scored a couple of trys against Warrington and hes adding some class runs from acting half.

They also have a super forward line which has been rolling through the sets and the better the forwards the closer the backs get to the try line,

I think though the reason they cannot challenge Saints or Leeds is defence. The French side losses far too many soft trys on their goal line and if you attack them on the right side, theres plenty points to be had.

Wigan got a super win over Bradford and seem to be hitting form at just the right time. Its been a poor season for Wigan but that wont matter if they can get through to the final. Thats the thing about rugby its possible to have a dire season and still be champions, look at Wasps.

There is plenty of points in this Wigan side. Higham is the form player and despite the manager wanting him to move on for some reason, hes been on fire. He adds some great runs and loves the quick play the ball, that should be vital against those big French forwards. Obviously Barrett is the main man and with him looking to return to Australia he will be desperate to leave on high. You wouldnt bet against him coming up with that bit of class that changes the game.

I really dont know who will win, Wigan are a good price though for a play off game. Its not as warm in France now as it was when the sides played out a cracker which had over 60 points in it, and this would obviously make point scoring easier for Wigan.  I think we will get plenty of trys at either end in another very exciting 80mins.
