Gloucester -3.5
Some will disagree, but for me Gloucester were the best side in the Premiership last season. They played rugby the way it should be played and looked to entertain in every single game. Ofcourse they came up short in the play offs and turned in possibly their worst performance of the season when losing out to Leciester, but tomorrow is their chance for some revenge and they are sure to be right up for this.
Leicester lost out in the final to Wasps. As usual with the Tigers they saved most of their best performances for the tail end of the season and came very close to turning what was a very average season into a great one. Over the piece though they were disappointing to watch and seldom looked to throw the ball around.
Despite being day 1 of the new season they will be without big players, some important names with a lot of experience. Martin Corry, Martin Castrogiovanni, Lewis Moody and Harry Ellis are all out.
Im expecting to see a fired up Gloucester tomorrow, they owe Leciester one after losing out at the end of last year. They may not have the strongest set of forwards but what they do have is plenty of class around the rucks and hopefully Ryan Lamb can continue in the form he showed last year, taking control of the rucks.
There may be some rain overnight but it should clear up in time for the match and that would make conditions perfect for Gloucesters open expansive style of play.
Gloucester -3.5 to beat Leicester with ladbrokes at 1.91
