St Helens vs. Wigan

Obviously Saints are the form side in super league and i believe its a bit of a cert that they will go on to win the grand final. But they do not like playing in the rain or on a pitch thats soaked and according to the weather report its lashing down in Liverpool.

We seen against Warrington that they are a totally different side in poor conditions and its no surprise that most of the times they have lost this season its been in the rain, or on a wet pitch, or early in the season when its very cold. In the good weather they are ofcourse unstoppable.

Despite all Wigans problems, and they have plenty, there is still a chance of them finishing 4th and as everyone knows anything can happen in the play offs.

Although Saints have hammered Wigan 3 times this season and quite amazingly scored over 150 points against their bitter rivals, this is a chance for Wigan to get some respect back and repay those supporters. They badly need to show the fans a fighting performance and i expect them to be really fired up for this.

Saints could also rest a few players, although they do name a strong squad, but theres more important games right round the corner so they could be taken off and rested.

It looks a real battle in the forwards and a very tight game. Kicks become all the more vital in tight games and the one area where Saints are weak is on the right hand side of defence. Gardner does not like that bomb and he will be up against Pat Richards who is fantastic in these situations.
