Obviously it does not get any tougher than taking on Brisbane at this time in the season. If the home side get the points they will have every chance of taking that top 4 position and a far easier home tie in the play offs. There will be a sell out crowd expecting the points.

But Newcastle need the points too. Despite some outstanding performances of late they only sit in 8th position and a loss here would see them drop down from the final play off spot. It would be a disaster for them, given the form they are in and the quality of rugby they have played in the last month should they not make it.

Last week they were outstanding against the best side in the NRL., Melbourne. They only won by 1 point but anyone who seen the match will tell you that from start to end, the Knights were the best side and were well worth it.

The forwards are getting through plenty of work and they have always been a strong side in defensive, so they should not fear taking on Brisbanes super back line.

The Broncos can be fantastic on their day but it seldom happens. They turn in 1 top class performance in every 6 or 7 and on Friday they will be up against possibly the NRLs form side. A team who have super spirit and are playing with a lot of confidence. They dummy half runs should give Brisbane plenty to think about and although it should be low scoring, Newcastle have the class on the edges to score points.

10 points start in a game which is absolutley vital to both teams is massive, Newcastle have to be the bet.
