Aberdeen vs. Rangers

This game has a history of being quite nasty and i dont see this one being any different. This is Scotlands answer to Milwall v West Ham or Cardiff v Swansea. The fans are always pumped right up for it and this makes its way onto the park. There will be plenty of meaty challenges and 2 teams going at it hammer and tongs.

Rangers are looking good at the moment. 2 wins in a row and a slight advantage over Celtic. They will desperate to get the 3 points here and really pile the pressure back on Celtic who play right after this one ends.

Aberdeen were dire in their last home game. They hardly made a chance against a pretty average Inverness side and the pressure is right on Calderwood. Im not sure what kind of reaction he will get from his team in terms of quality football but i do know they be right up for this.

A lot of Rangers fans say this is the only game Aberdeen give their all in and even Rangers full back Broadfoot said the same this week. I can see where they are coming from, as they certainly give everything when Rangers visit.

I like the choice of ref here craig thomson. He loves the limelight.. He loves to do big games, he enjoys the tv camaras and he likes to get involved with the game and hand out plenty of yellows if there is some agro. Hes not known for being shy with the cards when things heat up.

There are so many players on either side who pick up bookings and who love the rough side of the game, Kevin Thomson is a cert to be booked and once we get the 1st card, there shouldnt be any problems getting the other 4 yellows we need.
