Ahlen vs. FSV Frankfurt

Well , well , 2^nd league from Germany is underway this season . Nurnberg found themselves struggling in this league and they are definitely one of the strongest teams from this league who will want to gain promotion starting this year .

            On the other hand we have some newly promoted teams that will hope to survive this year .  This round Nurnberg is heavily backed and nobody can know how they will perform this year . I will take my bet this round choosing a battle between promoted teams .

            Ahlen promoted this league and are playing first game at home . This is surely going to be a close game where Ahlen will try to win against another relagation contender  , FSV Frankfurt . Ahlen signed few important players this season so they are pretty much same team like previous year . This can’t be  a good sign for them . They rely a little too much on defense ( they had good defense ) . They played 4 friendly games this summer , with good results : win over Arminia Bielefield 2-1 , win over OFI Crete but also some surprising defeats from Verl 0-2  or Essen 0-1 .

            FSV Frankfurt promise to play offensive game this season . Actually this was their play last season too when they scored many goals . FSV Frankfurt signed some important players and improved their team . They are playing 4-3-3 system and goals are expected in this game . FSV played 4 games this summer , 3 friendly games  ( 1 win 1 draw , 1 loss againt kaiselrslautern 0-1 ) and one cup game against Osnabruck , game won 2-0 .

            These teams met in the past with FSV Frankfurt winning 2-0 , at home .

            I think both teams will approach this game cautious and will try to avoid defeat . I like away team to win in this game , looking at handicap odds .
