Canberra -8.5
The Raiders can move into the top 8 here for the 1st time this season and they can do it by at least a couple of scores.
We seen last week just how strong a side they have at the moment and how high their confidence is with the win over 2nd place Roosters. They controlled the entire game and the forwards were well on top. Theres always been a question mark over the forwards at the Raiders but with 2 wins over sides who are very strong up the middle, there cant be anymore.
I like bit Tilse he works as hard as anyone in the NRL and hes now weighing with some trys. Monaghan is also on top form at the moment and should shine on that right hand edge where todays opposition are very short.
Gold Coast dont have the forwards at the moment either. They have so many players out injured and we seen how difficult it can be to cope without your big names as Penrith hammered them last week. The Panthers are an average side but they managed 6 trys and could have had a couple more.
I expect the Green Machine to be really fired up for this one, although they are for almost every home game anyway. They should be backed by a noisey home crowd too as a place in the top 8 would be a great achievment for a side most experts suggested would finish near the bottom.
They have a lot of class though Canberra and love to throw the ball about and entertain. With Gold Coast allowing so much space to attack, i think they can win this and wont have a problem doing it by a couple of coverted trys.
