Catleford vs. Wigan

We seen last week that despite their charge towards the top 3 in super league Wigan still have a lot of problems in defense and mainly up the middle of the park. Catalans found far too much space in the centre of the ruck and all it took was a quick play the ball and one short pass and the French were in for a couple of easy trys.

Wigan lost 45 points last week altogether, far far too many if they want to challenge Leeds or Saints.

Cas may be the weakest side in super league, well they are. But the one thing we have seen this season from them is attacking rugby in every single home game. Even against the very top sides they have managed to score 4 or 5 trys, the problem is that they simply cant keep them out at the other end.

It takes a lot out of sides playing in France and Wigans forwards looked shattered last week. I expect Westerman and co to get plenty of joy today and rack up a pretty healthy score. But with Barrett coming into form its a cert that Wigan will get put at least 26 points on the board too.

It should also be said that Wigan are one of the best sides on the bomb kick when attacking and Cas are probably the weakest at defending it.

No idea who to take on the cap, but this should be an open game with more than 52 points.
