Il go for 50 or less points on the bookings, 10 for yellow and 25 for red.

This is the 1st tourney in a long while where the refs seem to be using their commen sense and keeping the cards away. unless left with no other choice. There were times in previous world cups/european championships where we seen 8 or 9 yellow cards in a game where there was hardly a bad takle. So obviously those in control of the game at fifa have decided to use their heads and its nice to see.

Ofcourse this is a tasty fixture, for obvious reasons and both sides will be desperate to make a good start. But apart from the refs keeping calm i believe the reason we will not see many tough tackles is because so many Poles play in the German league. You hardly want to return to the nation where you earn a living having taken one of their stars out and spoiled their tournement.  Germany also have 3 Polish born players in their squad. It is important for the players to behave with all the problems there has been off the park between the fans.

There is ofcourse the threat of suspensions and Germany must be very careful here. The bookies rate them as one of the favs to go all the way, possibly, but if you look at their squad outside of the 1st 11 it is not so strong. So their manager must be cautious and make sure no one picks up stupid bookings which can rule them out of more important games should they get through the group.

The ref is Tom Henning from Norway and we know their football can be quite physical. So i dont see a flood of cards in this one and even if there is 5 yellows the bet is still a winner. Good value.

Germany v Poland 50 points on bookings or less with paddy at 2.00

There can be 5 yellows=50 points

Or if there is a red, 2 yellows,=45 points.
