Maria had to fight hard in her semi final victory over Radwankska but nonetheless, it has proven to be a decent comeback from injury for the Russian beauty. Since returning back to the tour, Sharapova have found her  way back to the elite of women's tennis and at present, she is ranked 25th in the standings. Jankovic have had a very disappointing second half of the season after starting off so well in the early stages of the year. She has been very erratic since falling off the number one spot and I believe that the Russian will have the willpower and determination to prove her critics wrong hen the two meet in today's final.

Sharapova also leads to Serbian in head to head records, with the Russian taking four out of five meetings over the last five years. Jankovic for me looks to be worn out after a gruelling year whereby the number of matches she has been involved with must have taken her out  of her sails. Go for Maria to make it a fairy tale comeback from injury.
