The French are on top form at the right time and should at least keep this one tight at ht.

Catalans form this season has been pretty poor for the players and quality there is in that squad. But really it makes little difference how you play in the 1st 8 months as long as you make those play offs and they managed to sneak into that last position.

2 wins, super wins in fact at difficult venues, Wakefield and Huddersfield means Mogg and co are dreaming about a grand final. It does not get any tougher than facing Leeds Rhinos on their own patch but with that defence now looking solid Catlans do have a chance.

Leeds are strong favs to win the grand final and were well worth the win over Hull Kr. They are the side with the most experience in super league, guys like Peacock and Sinfield, who know how to win the big games, and some absolute class at the back of the rucks in McGuire, Burrow and Webb, who can be unstoppable.

I do think Leeds will win this game but with so much at stake i really dont see them blowing this French pack away, certainly not in the 1st half. The game should be quite cagey in the opening 40 mins and there is sure to be some big hits in the forwards.

Catalans do have a super set of forwards and a lot of power right across their side, enough to trouble Leeds for sure. They look fit and hungry despite a tough season. and are also defending out wide or on the goal line much much better than earlier in the year.

It should be a close game.
