West Brom were very disappointing on the weekend when they surprisingly crashed to a struggling Crystal Palace side. The gruelling match at the Emirates few days back must have taken the sails out of of the blocks for the West Bromwich players and I do expect a strong response from the baggies today. Barnsley are there for the taking as they seem to have lost their way some way, with six losses in their opening nine matches. They are languishing in the bottom few positions of the Championship and signs are that their current downfall will continue.

West Bromwich Albion were absolutely dominant in their performance against fellow rivals Middlesbrough two weeks back, whereby they produced a 5-0 mauling of the former premier league side. They have in fact scored 11 goals in their last three league games prior to their defeat and I cannot see why Barnsley will grab anything from this game. Moreover, Barnsley appalling home record of 8-7-8 last season will not help them either.
