Villareal and Athletico have both been the surprise candidates this season as they are currently confound to the bottom three of the league. Villareal have been abysmal thus far and with two draws and two losses from four games, things are not looking rosy for them. For Deportivo, they were brilliant last weekend as they capped off a very neat performance at Xerez, winning a score of 3-0 away from home. Deportivo have a good record at home in recent years, as they only lost three the whole of last season.

Judging by their early fixtures thus far, Deportivo must be satisfied with two wins from their opening two games, while the other two losses were to decent teams. Bilbao and Madrid. This could turn out to be tricky assignment for the visitors as well as they do have a uefa cup tie midweek and tactics will play a big factor in this game. I will go for the home side to get  at least a draw here to say the least.
