Rushden go today to Gateshead International Stadium to take on Gateshead as the newly promoted team hope to keep up the chase so as to keep a place in the conference playoffs come end of the season.

The defence for Gateshead is where the problem is occuring as they have leaked 22 goals in 10 games, which is tied for the worst in the league this season. And trying to ensure survival in this league is all about leaking the least goals.

Rushden are a team on a completely different path as they have managed 19 points out of 11 games with a 5-4-2 while they have been taking the sword to their opponents with scoring 21 goals, which is the second highest in the league, led by Cliff Akurang with 6 to his name.

Things don't look impressively promising to Gateshead who look like they are on their way back down and should definitely blow this one especially with Rushden on a good roll of form heading into this one.
