Today Everton take on Blackburn in front of the Goodison faithful, only their third home match after the embarassing loss at home to Arsenal, they recovered against Wigan and now go in search of their second win of the season in the league against Blackburn. Make no mistake about it, the Everton faithful will be completely charged up today for the team to grab all 3 points due to their poor league position and nothing less than 3 points will be satisfying for them especially after their exploits in Europe where they won by a resounding score of 4-0 against AEK Athens. Captain Phil Neville and Anichebe are the only major absentees while Yakubu could be fit to start up front along with Jo to have an attacking lineup for Everton to grab early goals. Blackburn on the other hand have been struggling for the goals all season only running riot 3-1 against a struggling Wolves team last time around. Benni McCarthy will occupy a space on the bench and Diouf and Roberts should start this game, but Diouf isn't what you would call an out and out striker and will just support Roberts. The Blackburn defence is the one that is going to be struggling tonight and Evertons wide players, Osman and Pienaar will run riot along with a Tim Cahill cutting across from all corners. Everton need to win this game, and in front of their home crowds, these are odds not to refuse.
