Burnley vs Sunderland

Sunderland are going away from home to take on Burnley, a team that they have a good record against in the previous meetings, and will be aiming to get all the 3 points when they travel to Turf Moor today. The worst result that can possibly happen today is a stalemate draw, but with the form that Andy Reid, Darren Bent and Kenwyne Jones are in, things can be completely different when they are on song. Sunderland have goalkeeping issues but Scottish misfit Craig Gordon will be fit to take up the spot between the poles. With George McCartney regaining full fitness and the addition of Michael Turner to the heart of the defence, we can expect a better performance from Sunderland in this game. Burnley started off well against Man Utd and Everton, but games against Liverpool and Chelsea showed them that they have a long way to go in terms of standards of football in the Premier League. With Sunderland out to play a slightly rough game where they will dish it out in the midfield, expect a tight match with very few goals coming in this one. Sunderland should win this one probably by a solitary goal, else we grab a draw and go home not upset.
