Toronto Blue Jays vs New York Yankees

Roy Halladay pitched a gem for the Blue Jays last night whereby the Bombers were held to only one hit in a complete game. That loss effectively snapped the seven game winning streak by the Yankees, who have dominated the majors throughout the season. Today, Petite will take the hill in place of the unproductive Chamberlain last night. Petite is on 12 wins on the season and with his opposition number Cecil starting for the Jays, the omen is looking good for the Yankees. They have won comfortably on the road trip which was hampering them before the all star break and I really do expect a response this afternoon.
The Toronto Blue Jays are 2-8 entering this finale against the Yankees and I just find it hard to see how their pitching staff can limit the red hot visitors to less than three runs. Moreover the last time out Cecil started against NY, he gave up a high number of seven earned runs in only three and two third innings. Go for the Yankees here to wrap up the series especially with Cecil struggling big time over his last two starts.
