With Gareth Barry no more at Aston Villa, they will suffer big time this season. I do firmly believe that the likes of Tottenham and Manchester City will replace the likes of Everton and Aston Villa for the fifth and sixth placing. Villa have not made any big sale signings in the summer and based on their current predicament, their fans are getting restless with their play. They have in fact only won two of their last eighteen competitive matches lasting back last season and it does not bode well for them.

Liverpool though are weakened by the departure of their talisman Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid two weeks back but at Anfield, it is virtually impossible to halt them tearing teams apart. They have easily scored three goals or more in all of their home matches last season, not forgetting the fact that the Reds finished last season as top scorers in the Premier league.
