The New York Yankees suffered a tough loss last night when they though that they had tied the game in the top of the ninth but Phil Coke eventually lost the game for them. They still remain 2.5 games ahead of second place Boston Red Sox and usually they do respond well after losing a very tight game. For me, the White Sox are just like a topsy0turvy team, they do produce some decent results out of nothing at times but they just do not have the necessary talent to mount a consistent challenge. Their last ten games show a reading of 4-6 for them and they know that they will be on the receiving end from the bombers tonight.

Mitre will start for the Yankees for the third time after Chien Ming Wang was ruled of the entire season. The Yankees are 2-0 in two of his starts thus far and they know that they will have to be at their very best to stop Clayton Richard tonight. Richard has only allowed two-runs in his last sixteen innings. However, I think that the pressure will catch up with him in this game whereby if the Yankees batters are hot, they are really not a team to be reckoned with. I expect this game to be a tense affair and that most of the runs will only come in the second half of the game whereby it will be down to the battle of the bullpens.
