Another reason why I am tilting for the Yankees here is because the inconsistent Gonzalez will start in place for the Athletics. Gonzalez was just painful to watch in hi last outing, giving up 10 earned runs in just 2.2 innings which have increased his era all the way up to a near ten. He seemed to be one of the poorest pitchers in the American league and I probably think that after this game, he will be downgraded to triple A. The Yankees are just firing in all cylinders at present and there is no way that Gonzalez can pull off a shocking display.

Petite will be representing the Yankees in this game. The left hande pitcher finally picked up a win in his alst start by limiting the Orioles to just one run in seven over innings.When Petite is sharp on his game, he limits the number of base runners and even if he does so, he has a high percentage of pick off this season.
