The Eagles are coming off a much needed bye week and should be full of rest for their short travel north to New York to take on the Jets. Neither team is where they want to be, but the Eagles certainly seem to have more potential to turn their season around. The spread here is -3 points in favor of the Eagles. The Eagles will take a win any way they can get it, but they are mediocre in both passing and rushing the ball...however, I watched the Gaints take on the Jets this weekend and the Jets seemed very succeptable to almost anything the Giants wanted to do against them. The Eagles were let down against the Giants as well the week before their bye week...which would have been their last game 2 weeks ago. The Eagles thought they had turned things around when they beat the Lions by about 100 points 3 weeks ago, only to suffer a big let down 2 weeks ago to the Giants. They have had a lot of time to review things, and with one of the best coaches in the NFL in Andy Reid, I would not look forward to playing the Eagles after a bye week. The Jets have a lot of concerns, including the current play of starting QB Chad Pennington. If he keeps up his poor play and bad decision making, the Jets may be forced to turn to QB Kellen Clemens, which would probably prove to be just as bad. Overall, I have to take the Eagles here, Donovan McNABB is one of the better QB's in the league, and every week that goes by his repaired knee is only going to get better and better...so too then, should the level of his game. They should both get better week after week, and coming off of a bye week, the Eagles will have had plenty of time to get back to fundamentals and focus on beating the Jets, I'm taking the Eagles to win, and I'll give the -3 points.
