The Minnesota Twins are one of the better teams around in the business but whenever they play against the bigger boys, they fall far off their expectations and as a result, they do suffer terrible losses against teams like the Angels/Yankees/Red Sox. Yesterday, even their hot pitcher could not hold on to the Yankees's offence, who charged the Twins with a total of 16 hits over nine innings. Tonight though might be slightly easier for the Twins especially with Sabathia not pitching here, but they will have to deal with a new customer in AJ Burnett. Burnett has finally proven why the Yankees have not wasted money on buying him in the winter and he has only given up 3 earned runs over his last four starts.

As for the home team pitcher, Perkins, he is 4-4 in 2009. Three of his four wins have just came in the last few weeks which indicates the improvement in form of the young pitcher but nonetheless, he will still be worrying his woeful outing against the Yankees not too long ago, when he surrendered 6 runs in two thirds of an inning only. Lifetime though, Perkins is 1-3 against the New Yorkers. With the way the entire Yankees line up is hitting at the moment, I do not think that Perkins will be able to retire the side with ease, go for the Yankees.
