St Louis Cardinals vs SF Giants - Baseball - Major League Baseball - Tip Preview

The St louis Cardinals are such an inconsistent team at the moment and I do not think the right team will turn up today when the Giants open a four game series with their National League rivals. Albert Pujols have been hot once again in 2009 and is definitely one of the candidates for player of the year but the rest of the line up has been blowing hot and cold. They got a real break last time out at Royals but that was already two series back, but Time Lincecum is a tough pitcher that they will have to cope by tonight at their ball park. Moreover, Lincecum is 2-0 and a 1.38 era against the Cardinals last season.

Time Lincecum has been immense in 2009 yet again and I do believe he has lived up to his credentials which made him the Cy young pitcher last year. Lincecum is 7-2 this season with a very nice era of 2.57 only. He has won three of his last four starts and will be looking to win the opener of the series against the Cardinals. Cardinals have Thompson on the mound. He is 2-3 this season and certainly is one of the pitcher that the the ball club has transformed from the bullpen few weeks back. I think Thompson is just the total opposite to that of Lincecum, who would provide the Giants 7-8 innings in every appearance and hence go for the visitors here.
