Fernando Verdasco will be in deep trouble today when he faces the hard hitting Ivo Karlovic. The Croatian player has served up a whole bunch of aces in his Wimbledon journey thus far and as I had expected, he comfortably beat Tsonga in his last round clash with a high number of fourty five aces in four sets. With such great serving and impossible control of returns, opponents will find it hard to break Karlovic's serves if that trend continues. Only a very bad day will stop the Croatian from losing his forte but I do not believe he will crumble at such crucial stages now.

Verdasco does enter this game knowing that he got a hard time against fellow countryman Montanes and was lucky to get out of court in only four sets whereby it was a match filled with full of unforced errors. The problem for Verdasco even though he is good that Karlovic will just end up serving ace after ace and he will have no chance of returning anything. Karlovic leads the Spaniard 2-1 in head to head meetings and the last two did go in favour of the Croat. Go for Ivo Karlovic here especially he is in such fine form at the moment and it would be foolish not seeing him achieve 30aces of more yet again.
