This will be a tough match up between two very good players on the women's tour. Hantuchova did have to go through some nerve wrecking moments against British fifteen year old sensation but still made it through to the second round after three sets. As for last year's semi finalists Zheng Jie' she had to endure several tough moments in her hard fought 7-6 7-6 victory. The only head to head meeting between the two went to Hantuchova last year when she defeated the Chinese 6-4 6-2 in Indian Wells. But since then Zheng Jie has climbed from 216 to world number 16.

As for Hantuchova, the Slovakian is ranked number 32 but her record at Wimbledon is not that great.  She has exited the tournament in the 2nd round in many of her appearances and her record on tour this season shows that she has only beaten one played in the top 20 ranking one time all season long, against Cornet. I will go for the Chinese player here to win but it will be a very taxing match for her as Hantuchova is a proven player on tour.
