Tim Lincecum gave up three important runs against the Angels in his last start to be credited with a painful loss and he will be hoping to erase those memories on Tuesday when he face the Oakland Ace yet again after shutting them 1 week ago. At AT and T, he gave up seven hits and no runs in nine complete innings which saw him agined his sixth win then. Lincecum, the reigning NL Cy young pitcher, is 6-2 this season with a 2.72 era. The Giants did lose against the Ace 5-1 last night and they will know that they have to keep up with the chasing pack in the wild card rankings.

As for Mazzaro, he has failed to win his last two games but his last start start was a decent outing at Dodgers stadium whereby he gave up only two earned runs over 6.0 innings. Last time out though he did lose to Tim Lincecum and this will be a repeat of the match. The Oakland Athletics are currently last in their division and I can only see the Giants equalising the series up especially with their ace playing tonight.
