The Royals are on a rise after winning four consecutive matches in a row and will be looking to win their second match of the series against the Diamonbacks, who occupy the last place in their NL West.  The Royals have always been a mediocre team at best but when they are on a hot streak, it is hard to stop them from putting runs on the board. Last ngiht 5-0 victory was something positive for their inconsistent defence which have been off colour at times in 2009.

Zack Greinke will be on the mound for the Royals in this game. The ace pitcher for the royals is coming off a no decision for the Royals after pitching 7 and 1/3 innings, giving up three earned runs. His record of 8-2 this term looks impressive and I believe he will have a shot at the CY Young award at the end of the campaign. He is unbeaten at home thus far and you would definitely expect him to dominate Mark Scherzer who carries a 3-4 record into this game.  Although he has not allowed a run in his last two starts, I still do not believe that he will be able to keep off the American League off the board especially with a club so in form now.
