Dechy has really gone down the rankings in 2009 after  a series of injuries ahve forced her to take part in only very few events throughout the entire year. Her first round exit in roland garros two weeks ago was a huge disaster to start off with and she needs to have a good run in this ordina open before wimbledon commences next week. Dechy is already 30 this year and she knows that time is not on her side any more so she has to make best use of her opportunities.

Her opponent today is Olga Govortsova who is ranked 20 odd places behind ehr in the world rankings. The belarus lady has been struggling for form as well and although she did rather well at the french open not too long ago, grass has always not been her favourite surface and I really do find it hard to see her making anything out of it. Since Govortsova have lost many matches this season by 3setters, I think the scoreline will be the same for her.

Dechy won their only between 6-1, 7-5 last year. Back Dechy to win here but by a much tougher match this time round.
