Both the Angels and the Giants swept past their opponents in their last inter league series which shows signs of the improvement both clubs have made in recent weeks. The Angels have since recovered a blip in their form winning their last three games. The Giants too have been solid in June with 14 victories in 19games, Their form, more obviously at AT and T Park has been all but superb. They have brushed aside opponents and finally learned how to utilise their distinctive ballpark. The Giants have failed to make the post season in six years and this year presents a real chance for them to turn around the statistics.

Although the Angels are favoured in this game, I still have doubt over Lackey's form heading into this game. He is coming off one of his wors starts in his last game vs TB whereby he allowed 9 earned runs which greatly pushed up his era. This season thus far have been disappointing for the ever consistent pitcher. As for SF, Zito have won back to back games since a long time and what makes me glad about him is that he seldom allows many hits in all his games pitched, which is a far cry from Lackeys. With the Giants at home, I think they might just nicked this by 1 or 2 runs the most. Expect them to upset the odds.
