The stats are stacked up against the oakland ace for today's tough encounter against Texas Rangers and for the first game or a double header, the consistent starting pitcher for the aces, Josh Outman will represent them on the mound. Outman has a 2.40 era and has proven that he he has taken his agme to another new level. He is unbeaten in 2009 thus far and has to be on his game to deal with rangers who lost 2/3 to the yankees. The Rangers are very good at home this year but I think Game 1 might just go to the aces.

Outman's las outing was a career best of allowing four hits and 1 run over seven and two thirds of work and I think he can deal with the rangers who will be with an unknown pitcher from their triple A. I am always not a fan of such pitchers coming up to the majors to take on the big stage and moreover, Hunter was 0-3 and a 16+ era in his 3 starts last year. Last year, Outman pitched brilliantly agaist the Rangers, back him to pick up the win tonight.
