Burnley to be promoted.

Burnley have not played top level football for 33 years but i believe thats about to end and Owen Coyle will take them to the premier league.

We have seen some fantastic football from them this season both in the championship and in either cup competition. A number of premiership sides have struggled to deal with their pace and movement and although they didnt quite make the top 2 places a play off place is remarkable with the amount of fixtures they have had to play.

We shouldnt be too surprised to see Coyle doing so well as he built a super side at St Johnstone. People may say big deal, as they have only just made it to the spl, but with little money he put together that side and had them running even Rangers close in the scottish cup.

Sheff Utd just missed out on the 2nd automatic place and have done very well to pick themselves up after final day disappontment. Having seen both games in the semi final they were well worth the win over Preston and should possibly have been more comfortable than 2-1.

Utd have appeared in the play offs 4 times though and have failed to win promotion every time. This has to play on the minds of the supporters, manager and players. I suppose it could even be used by Coyle to motivate his side.

I just think this is going to be Burnleys day and Coyle is going to complete what would be a minor miracle by taking them up at the 1st time of asking. The Clarets have beaten Sheff Utd twice already and will enjoy the wide open spaces at Wembley which will suit the pace they have thoughout the side. It will be tight but i expect Burnley to sneak this, possibly it could take extra time to do so.
