I do not expect the cardinals to win by seven runs or more today because they seldom do so as National league teams tend to be more cautious and play small ball. I expect them to win by about 5-6 runs maybe, at the most.  On the mound for the royals will be the inexperienced Luke who has been called up from triple A to the starting rotation. In his first two starts thus far, he has totalled 5 innings only with a disastrous era of over 16.00+. I think the cardinals can pounce on him early in the game and get the job done.

As for the cardinals, they will have Kyle Lorhse on the mound for them and his record of 3-3is not too bad and even his manager has admitted that it was his mistake to risk the pitcher last time out on a 3 day rest basis which backfired. Kyle do tend to pitch well at the cardinals ballpark, so expect the Cardinals to win rather convincingly today.
