Both sides finished on the same number of points in the regular season and Anderlecht only edged out Standard by 5 goals. In head to head encounters between the two, surprisingly or not, Liege have had the upper hand in majority of them which will make this an even fascinating contest. Although Anderlecht are favourites to win, Liege are a team built from their defence and their statistics have shown that they do not shipped in many goals. Go for the low scoring draw here as both teams will be very cautious.

Anderlecht have been consistent of late but I do not think they will really pose much problems to a tough and stubborn Standard Liege side who has had a successful season, taking into account their amazing run in the Uefa Cup. I think a draw is only the best possible results between the two and with both teams paying so well, it is really very hard to pick a winner from the pair.
