Katernya Bondarenko vs Tsvetana Pironkova - Tennis - Tournament - Tip Preview

Only seven places seperate these two femal tennis players and going into this match, the odds for either win is definitely very close.  Also in head to head match ups, the tie is curently even poised at one a piece which might lead everyone to believe that this could be a tighter game than we expect. Pironkova started the year out brightly but since the transition to clay, she has been disappoiting in her results and it clearly shows that her game is not suited to the surface. In almost all her attempts, she has only managed to by pass the opening round in one attempt and her chances against Bonarenko might not be as optimistic.

Injuries ahve plagued Bondarenko throughout the year, limiting her to few and few tournaments but overall, she is a better player than many people do suggest. She has played in only two clay tournaments and her previous one was a retirement in a match against former world number one Jankovic.

I will go for the 2-1 win to Bondarenko here even though Pironkova has een poor on the surface, three of her last five matches lost have been threee setters.
