The Yankees did manage a dramatic comeback in the ninth inning yesterday but from another point of view, it was disappointing from not taking an early lead much earlier. Minnesota are a team that the bombers can easily get into their faces but poor batting saw them struggle until the late stages. Nick Blackburn for the twins today, has had a mixed season so far but his last outing was a terrific start with five hits and zero run over seven innings. Joba Chamberlain is still considered a young pitcher for the New York outfit and although he is prone to make comedy errors, when he is on form, he is good.

I do see the twins posing some sort of threat to the nervy Joba at the early stages of the game but overall I think the yankees' offence can easily regain the lead especially with their inconsistent Blackburnon the mound and the Twins bullpens are never trusted with. Expect the yankees to show signs of improvements from their sluggish performance yesterday and if they are hot on their bats, an easy win awaits.
