Del Potro has been tipped as one of the bright stars in Argentina and his talent is definitely not going unnoticed. In my opinion, it will only be a matter of time before he overtakes Nalbandian as the country's number one and with his strong forehand weapon, opponents do find it hard to return. Despite the fact  that his opponent retired in his last rounds match, Del Potro was anyway going to cruise through easily. Wawrinka did also win in straight sets and his performances this season suggests that he has a good future ahead.

Argentinians are techincally more accustomed to the clay surface and  with the case for Del Potro, he looks very comfortable with his foot work and never seems to panick. In head to head meetins between the pair, Wawrinka is ahead by 2-1 which comes a bit of a surprise because the argentinian is ranked 20 places above him. All three encounters have lasted the distance and hence I will pick Del Potro to win 2-1 today as Wawrinka usually puts up a decent fight and most of his losses have been close affairs as well.
