Petrova has went out in the last 16 stages in her last three tournaments and and her form is not that predictable for a world number ten. She is one o the rising players of Russia and looks to be improving all the time but her last 8 matches spanning from the last few events have seen her go into three sets in 6 out of 8 games. Schnyder is already 30 this year and I would not expect her to last on the tour for much longer. Her record of 7-9 this year is not too positive and although she beat serena williams last week, her overall form has been appalling.

These two players have  met each other for like more than a dozen of times already and they should know each other inside out, but the intriguing fact is that the wins have been some what alternate between the pair. I think between Schnyder and Petrova, Petrova just has the edge between the two and I think her over powerful baseline shots might just win it for her.
