Gonzalaez and Capdeville are two average tennis players originated from South America. Between the two players, Gonzalez has had greater success on clay and even this year, his results have been more impressive than Capdeville to begin with. He has progressed into the further stages of almost every tournament but whereas Capdevile on the other hand, have been awaful of late. Losing in many first round ties would not have done him any favour.

In my opinion. Capdeville is more of a player suited for the hard courts rather than the technical aspect of clay. His last two resoundign defeats were just atrocious especially to players ranked much lower than him. These two players have played one match against each other and although the tie then went to Capdeville, I beieve this time, Gonzalez will prove his worth, after improving tremendously over the lats six months or so.
