Man United vs Everton

This sports betting tip was written by rahul on April 17th, 2009 at 18:57

Manchester United head into Wembley fresh of a beating of Porto and ready to do the un-done as they chase the quintuple and can see their dream very close, but they first have to get their business done by beating Everton.

A unique afternoon we are about to witness, as potentially 2 brothers will lead their side out for the first time at Wembley with Gary and Phil Neville as captains for Manchester and Everton respectively.

Sir Alex will be tempted to tinker around with the squad giving a chance to rotate his players, but be assured, he looks to play his strongest side out at Wembley. Berbatov is likely to start up-front along with Rooney, as Sir Alex will look to take advantage of a shorter Everton defence by putting crosses into the box. Former Everton legend Rooney, will look to score a goal against his former team at the home of English football and expect his partner Cristiano Ronaldo to chip in with some great performance after his showing against Porto in mid-week.

Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic are likely to start at the centre of defence, as Manchester aims to get some clean sheets under their belt to build some confidence with the run in to the end of the season. Paul Scholes should be in the line-up as I expect him to set in the middle and proved the Roy Keane type of presence in this game and protect the back line.

Evertong are going into this game with their confidence a bit rattled after the game against Aston Villa where they blew a 2 goal lead to draw the game. Phil Neville looked lackluster in the game as Villa piled on the pressure and a lot will depend on this game on Leighton Baines and his ability to control Ronaldo on the left wing, as he might make some bursts through the middle.

Everton is certainly good on form up front with Jo certainly shining there along with Fellaini, but with Rio Ferdinand sitting in the middle, it will be a more tougher challenge for them to score past the Manchester United gatekeepers.

Manchester United to win this one, we are lucky to get a half ball start here.
