St Mirren v Celtic

Over 2. 5 goals.

St Mirren have been excellent to watch at times this season. Danny Lennon was not a big name or someone that excited the fans so credit to him for having the confidence to play an attacking game. Its paid off, rather than fight it out at the bottom the Saints are pushing for a top 6 place and ofcourse the fans are enjoying their football.

Saints beat Rangers here recently, the champions couldnt handle their desire and work-rate in the middle of the park. Maclean and McGowan are 2 very gifted players that will move to a better level but for now are enjoying l

With attacking football comes chances at the other end and to be honest Saints have lost as many soft goals this season as any side. We seen them fold last week at Hearts, losing 5-2 despite having an extra man for 75 mins. We also seen them hammered by Celtic at Celtic Park by 5 goals.

I have to admit i think the keeper is very poor, i know hes young but hes making a lot of errors and spills the ball too often.

Celtic are now clear favourites for the spl having turned around a 12 point advantage in a matter of weeks. Yes Rangers have been awful but that is not Celtic problem. 11 wins in a row is great going in any league so Neil Lennon deserves a lot of credit. It did look at 3-0 down to Killie a few months back that his time was up but its amazing how quickly things can change in football. Its now the Gers boss thats under all the pressure.

Celtic are very strong in attack- so many options even in reserve. Hooper and Stokes are 2 out and out finishers and their is plenty of supply from Forrest, Brown, Kayal, Commons and even McCourt. Samaras also has a nice habit of coming in and performing in important games despite a poor scoring record.

I still say the defence is a small issue for Celtic though and while the keeper is getting a lot of credit at the moment i always feel a blunder is just around the corner. He is not the most confident.

I think we will see an end to end game here with Saints having a right go. The Buddies beat Rangers so why not. Both teams like to attack but neither side is strong at the back so go for 3 or more.
